Are you feeling joyful? Are you creative every day? Do you meet the blank page in your sketchbook or journal filled with ideas?

Between our own personal struggles, the busyness of daily life and the state of the world, sometimes joy and inspiration can be elusive.

When we invite joy into our days and make time for creativity, it’s transformative. Being creative, celebrating joy… they’re nourishing forms of self-care.

In this class you’re invited to take time to dig deep in answering the question: Where do you find joy? Using your answers you’ll create a personalized inspiration deck that you can use to bring more play and creativity into your days whenever you need it.

Your deck will be whatever you want it to be and throughout the class you’ll get suggestions for customizing the look, themes and intention of your cards. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist in order to create beautiful and nurturing cards and a supportive self-care ritual around their use.

To create your self-love ritual you will:

Journal, sketch and/or cut words and images from magazines to intuitively identify your own, personal sources of joy and inspiration

Paint (or otherwise create) decorative papers or source alternative papers or cards — even the simplest designs will be beautiful!

Decorate a box to house your cards (and/or brainstorm alternative containers)

Trim your cards to fit your container and make them more fun and attractive

Write prompts, suggestions, assignments and/or affirmations on your cards

Design a personalized ritual for using your cards so they will nurture your joy and creativity

Note: for this class there is no handout with supply suggestions. Use what you have and be creative as you search your home for fun materials for your deck.
